At the heart of our team lies a commitment to crafting exceptional in-person team events that seamlessly blend insights from elite sports and the principles of performance psychology. Our goal is to deliver unforgettable experiences, providing participants with the rare opportunity to learn from individuals who have performed at the highest levels.

 

We believe the world of elite sport and performance has many valuable lessons for professionals at work. From effective time management to the meticulous preparation required for any project, and the cultivation of resilience needed to consistently outperform competitors—these are just a few of the parallels between sport and business.

 

With Ditch the Desks, we have gone one step further, while still drawing from theories and lessons from elite sports we are also adding creativity and innovation into the mix by working with Alice Watson, an ex-professional acrobat. Acrobatics merges the rigour and discipline of elite sport and athleticism with the creativity and expression of an art form creating a formidable combination. 

 

During your team event, we will cover:

 

  • Understanding the growth and fixed mindset concepts and their impact on performance at work

  • Reframing perspectives on effort, challenge, failure, feedback & focus

  • Expanding our professional comfort zones

  • Fostering a growth mindset in ourselves and others.

 

The day’s agenda will provide opportunities for self- reflection, group work and a strategic planning session. Everyone will be empowered to apply their newfound knowledge to individual and team goals. The day will include engaging physical activities to immerse participants in these concepts.

 

The proposed agenda would include:

 

1.    An Interactive growth mindset workshop led by Kinetic.

2.    Team-building exercises to reinforce the learning and foster stronger connections among team members.

3.    Energising activities aimed at promoting well-being and team cohesion.

 

Your team members will learn how to remain focused on delivering successful outcomes for their candidates, clients and colleagues whilst using the research of Carol Dweck to understand how to display a positive reaction to setbacks. Nurturing a growth mindset across the team will result in more resilient and engaged members.

 

This invigorating team day revolves around participating in physical activities to actively apply the growth mindset principles. The session aims to foster collaboration, stimulate creative thinking and ultimately enhance communication skills, trust and teamwork in your colleagues.
